Audio agencies Oxford Road and Veritone One have merged to form a creator-based podcast group.
Terms of the transaction, facilitated by Insignia Capital Group, were not disclosed.
The deal combines Oxford Road's international traction with Veritone One's advanced technology stack and data capabilities, the firms say.
The businesses will operate independently at first but hope to create a unified lead brand in the future.
"Brands have been missing out on the full power of audio and creator-led content because these highly fragmented channels are challenging for firms without deep subject matter expertise," says Dan Granger, CEO of the combined organization. "Our mission is to redefine the value of these channels for advertisers.”
Conor Doyle, president of Veritone One, adds: "This endeavor is a pivotal moment for brands seeking the next generation of media opportunities. Podcast, audio, and creator-based media continue to outperform, but the industry still lags behind other mediums in key areas.”
