Paris-based market research firm Ipsos has decided not to make an offer for Kantar Media.
After confirming on Monday that was in discussions regarding a potential bid, on Thursday the company issued a terse statement indicating its decision not to.

“After careful review of a potential acquisition of Kantar Media, Ipsos has, at this time, decided not to submit a binding offer,” the company said in its statement.
Last week Reuters reported that formal bids were due this week for the audience measurement arm of Kantar Group.
It was not immediately clear which firms (if any) had made bids by the deadline.
