Beer makers tend to embrace their
audience’s everyday drinking indulgences, such as beer pong tournaments and watching the game with friends over brews. But Natural Light wants to ensure customers sharing a beer with the
neighbors will maintain their friendships, even on opposite sides of the fence.
This week the brand launched The Neighborator, which is a double-sided beer fridge, especially designed to be installed along the fence line that separates neighbors' yards for the holiday season. The brand says that despite the adage that good fences make good neighbors, “over 60% of Americans actually wish they had a closer relationship with the (people) next door.”
The Neighborator features all-weather protection and a dual-sided lock and key mechanism, which provides secure access from both sides of the fence, enabling neighbors to each drink their own beers without leaving their own yards.

“When we discovered that the majority of neighbors wish they were better friends with the folks who live next door, we dreamed up a natural way to forge a connection,” says Krystyn Stowe, head of marketing, Busch Family & Natural Family at Anheuser-Busch, in a release. “Whether you want to thank Sue for grabbing your mail while you were away, make peace with Joe over the overgrown hedges, or finally introduce yourself to the mysterious neighbor who fetches the newspaper in their PJs, the Neighborator will help turn that fence line from ‘yours’ and ‘mine’ to ‘ours’ over an ice cold Natty.”
Unfortunately consumers can’t purchase the one-of-a-kind Neighborator. only one winner will be able to boast the backyard prize. From now until Dec. 20consumers can follow Natural Light on Facebook, Instagram or X, adding a comment on the contest post describing why they and their neighbor are the most deserving of their own Neighborator. Also with the fence fridge, the winner will also receive a year’s worth of beer with which to fill it.
