La
Prairie is one of the beauty brands chosen for Golden Globe winners.
Gift bags are a given at Hollywood award shows, but this year’s Golden Globe honorees are hauling home a
record $1 million in swag, roughly double the value of last year’s freebies.
The Robb Report, which curates the gift bags in partnership with the Golden Globes, says the loot is lovingly
packed in an Atlas Bespoke Weekender Bag. Some gifts -- like the five-day luxury charter on the Celestia Phinisi Yacht in Indonesia ($60,000); Coyuchi’s organic-linen or cotton sateen sheets
($572 – $1,392), CurrentBody’s LED Light Therapy Face Mask Series 2 ($469); and one night at L’Ermitage Beverly Hills ($1,500) -- are available to all 100 participants.
But
the bag also includes a guide, enabling recipients to select additional gifts.

Among them: Beauty and wellness products like La Prairie’s Pure Gold Radiance Concentrate serum ($935,
available to 40 participants), a cutting-edge NordicTrack Ultra 1 treadmill ($15,000, available to four participants) and an Oxygen Facial at the Maybourne Beverly Hills ($1,400, available to 10
participants).
The travel offers are likely to impress even the most spoiled stars, including a three-night stay in Turks and Caicos at the Reserve at Grace Bay by Beach Enclave ($507,492,
available to nine recipients), a private helicopter flight and stay in Finland to see the Northern Lights ($48,000, available to one recipient), and a five-night stay and wellness experience at Joali
Being in the Maldives ($33,800, available to 50 participants.)
The Golden Globes, the first award show of the statue season, is traditionally known as the booziest, and that’s also
reflected in the gifts. All 100 nominees will go home with something from the Isle of Harris Distillery: a bottle of the Hearach Single Malt Scotch Whisky or Isle of Harris Gin.
One lucky
Bordeaux lover will get a trio of ultra-rare 2015, 2018, and 2019 vintages of Liber Pater ($34,800).
Last year’s broadcast was a ratings hit, drawing 9.4 million viewers, representing a
50% jump from the prior year. But the show, known as being one of the least scripted and anything-goes events, is dangerous territory. Ricky Gervais and the hosting duo of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler
fared well over multiple appearances. But Jo Koy, last year’s emcee, was widely panned.
Comedian Nikki Glaser, this year’s host, seemed intent on avoiding a similar flop and
extensively roadtested her monologue during live stand-up shows, polishing some jokes and rejecting others.
