Remy Martin Rings In Year Of The Snake With Limited-Edition Bottles

2025 is the Year of the Snake in the Chinese Zodiac Lunar calendar, which technically begins on Jan. 29. In Chinese mythology, the snake is said to bring wisdom, adaptability and a sense of transformation to the year.

The House of Rémy Martin this week announced its commemorative Rémy Martin Lunar New Year Collection 2025, a collaboration with Chinese artist Huang Yuxing.

Yuxing, a contemporary artist known for his work incorporating Chinese elements of water, trees, minerals, landscapes and architecture, painted “Majestic Serpentine,” in which a mythical serpent -- typically associated with good fortune -- is surrounded by colorful images of the Grande and Petite Champagne in Cognac, where Rémy Martin sources its grapes, and other images tied to the cognac-making process and in celebration of the Lunar New Year.

The collaboration resulted in two different collectible Remy Martin offerings: the Rémy Martin XO ($224.99) and Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal ($64.99).

The Rémy Martin XO’s outer box is decorated with the aforementioned winding serpent, which then slides open to reveal the inside decanter. The box’s interior is decorated with Majestic Serpentine artwork, and the decanter itself is adorned with glass elements reflecting the art’s color palette.

The Rémy Martin 1738 Accord Royal is sold in a limited edition gifting canister, also decorated with Yuxing's artwork.

Yuxing is known for his 2021 work, “Seven Treasure Pines,” which sold for the record price of HK$64 million ($8.2 million USD) at Christie's Hong Kong.
