Bakery Taps Thompson As COO

Bakery has appointed Jacqueline Thompson as the agency's first chief operating officer and managing partner.

Thompson has been with the Austin, Texas-based creative shop since 2019, previously serving as group account director, head of accounts, and most recently managing director. She earlier held posts at Picture Farm Production, Valtech and Porter Novelli.

“Jacqueline is simply one of the best people I’ve ever worked with,” said Micky Ogando, CCO-founder of Bakery. “She’s been our ride or die since she walked through the door. She knows how to get things done.”

The hire, in part, is to accommodate recent new business wins, Tree Hut, GE and NatureSweet, while servicing roster accounts: Nike, Shiner and Diageo.

In the new role, Thompson will oversee day-to-day operations, while leading business development.

Under her leadership, Bakery has become a 60% female organization. She also implemented both paid maternity and paternity leave for biological, adopted or surrogate children.

“Bakery is a place unlike anywhere I’ve had the pleasure to work with — and I mean that in the best possible way,” said Thompson.
