National used car seller CarMax has appointed Stagwell’s 72andSunny Los Angeles its creative agency of record following a competitive pitch.
The client previously worked with The Martin Agency, which won the account in 2019.

According to the agency it will “work with CarMax to bring to life the company’s innovative customer-centric offerings, refresh the brand, and connect with consumers in culturally relevant ways.”
72andSunny’s Los Angeles office will lead the account, overseen by managing director Emily Connelly. The creative will be led by executive creative director Lauren Smith, who has also led agency work for brands like Adobe, Barbie, United Airlines and Venmo.
Debut work will be released this summer.
