The Arena Group's Firing Line:The 2024 Financials Are Moderately Encouraging

The Arena Group Holdings Inc has had its challenges over the last few years, but appears to be on some kind of track.

The firm reported Q4 2024 revenue of $36.2 million, an 8% leap over the prior quarter. However, this was down from $44.1 million YoY.

Annual revenue hit $125.9 million in FY 2024, down from $143.6 million in FY 2023. The loss from continuing operations was $7.7 million in FY 2024 compared to $37.2 million in FY 2023.

“In 2024, we built a strong foundation with Athlon Sports," says Paul Edmondson, CEO of Arena Group. "This started with premium content, expanding our print products at newsstands and growing our social footprint. We then coupled this with what we call ‘competitive publishing’ to expand our reach.”

For those who don’t know, competitive publishing is “a new model designed for 24/7 breaking news coverage where multiple talented teams compete,” Edmondson says. The model was launched on Men’s Journal in Q1 2025 and at Parade and The Street in Q2.
