Publicis Groupe announced today that it has acquired Adopt, a sports marketing agency co-founded by Lebron James’ agent Rich Paul and former Nike executives David Creech and Josh Moore. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
The trio founded the agency in 2021 and the shop has worked with brands such as Netflix, Calvin Klein and Lululemon, and athletes including retired NBA star Dwyane Wade and acclaimed Formula 1 race car driver Lewis Hamilton (now driving for Ferrari), according to its website.

The agency has also worked with Paul’s sports agency, Klutch Sports Group, which is not part of the deal with Publicis Groupe.
Capabilities include brand and creative strategy, advertising campaign and content development, digital experience and product design, brand design and identity, product design, naming and packaging and more.
Adopt will continue to be run by Creech and Moore and will be aligned with Publicis Groupe Connected Media, which includes the company’s media, performance marketing, influencer, CRM and data businesses and headed by CEO Dave Penski.
Creech spent nearly two decades at Nike and served as vice president of global brand creative and vice president of design for Jordan Brand. He’s credited with helping shape brands for Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and other sporting greats.
Moore has helped create products for brands such as Nike, Apple and Google, where he’s credited with developing the Nike SNKRS app.
Paul has represented James since he turned professional in 2002 and started Klutch in 2012.
