Amazon is expanding the vehicles that can be
purchased online.
Until now, Amazon Autos has sold new Hyundai products exclusively. That's changing, as a spokesperson for Amazon Autos confirmed to Car and Driver that participating dealers will now be able to
list non-Hyundai models on the site.
“The e-commerce giant first entered the industry in late 2024 through a partnership with Hyundai, allowing customers to browse and
purchase new vehicles directly on Amazon’s site,” according to
MotorTrend. “At launch, used and certified pre-owned listings will be limited to the Los Angeles area, but Amazon plans to roll out availability nationwide in the coming
months.”

Amazon’s new-car marketplace, which opened in December 2024, currently offers listings in more than 130 cities across the U.S., according to Marketing Daily. The parternship between Amazon and Hyundai was first announced in November 2023.
“Amazon Autos will add more
inventory and brand selection for online consumers,” according to Automotive News.
“It also opens the door for dealers outside of the Hyundai network.”
After the payment process is complete, buyers schedule a time and day to pick up the new vehicle
from a local dealership.
"Other options, such as leasing and expanded financing options, will be available soon,” according to electrek.
All vehicles shown for sale will be limited to a 75-mile
radius of a user’s location.
“All used vehicles sold via Amazon Autos will come with a three-day, 300-mile return policy and a minimum 30-day, 1,000-mile limited
warranty,” notes Automotive Dive. “The addition of used and CPO vehicles
to the Amazon Autos marketplace also allows dealers to sell their non-Hyundai inventory to expand customer buying choices, including vehicles from Ford, Toyota, Nissan, BMW and other
brands.”
