With tennis content growing on TikTok, the
ByteDance-owned company has decided to partner with the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for a global content deal aimed at facilitating more creator collaboration connected to the sport.
TikTok says it has seen over 1.8 million #tennis posts on its platform in 2025, marking a 30% boost compared to last year. This boost in tennis content comes as leading men's players,
such as Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, and Ben Shelton have begun sharing content on the platform, providing fans with a more personal glimpse inside the sport.
The partnership between the
ATP and the social media company will also include a new “Tennis Creator Network,” which TikTok says will give creators who are in cities hosting ATP tournaments exclusive access to those
matches and related events.

With in-person coverage of professional men's tennis events, both on the court and behind-the-scenes, TikTok and the ATP hope creators will capture the attention of
younger generations, ultimately persuading them to become followers of the sport.
TikTok and ATP will also invite select creators to the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, Italy to document the event
for their followers.
The partnership follows similar content deals between TikTok and professional sports leagues and teams, including Major League Soccer, Aston Martin's Formula One team, the PGA Tour, the British Olympics and Paralympics teams, the New York Yankees and more.
And while fans use X to follow live
sports coverage, younger audiences are going to TikTok for more exclusive content from those events. According to a TikTok report from last year, 57% of TikTok users watch sports content on the app
weekly, while 59% of users agree that watching sports content on TikTok can be more entertaining than the actual game.
As younger consumers invest time in behind-the-scenes social media
coverage of sports, relevant brands have an opportunity to tweak their TikTok promotions to further engage these users.
