VML today announced that global president Mel Edwards will
retire in late spring 2026 after more than three decades of industry leadership including 13 years across WPP and its agencies Wunderman, Wunderman Thompson, and
VML.
There was no immediate word on a successor.
Most recently, as global president at VML, she is credited with playing a key
role in the integration of Wunderman Thompson and VMLY&R to create VML, including shaping its connected culture, expanding service offerings, and building strong
client relationships.
