It’s game on for Vrbo customers this summer with the travel
brand’s latest collab.
The online marketplace for booking private vacation homes has teamed up with Mattel to offer six limited-time vacation home stays themed around the family-friendly
card game Uno.
Two of the “top-tier” locations, in the Hollywood Hills and Texas Hill Country, are classified as “Wild Card” stays, with Uno-themed décor, a Uno
game night, a Uno x Vrbo Welcome Kit and an in-home dining experience. The other four “Play It Your Way” stays will include the Uno x Vrbo Welcome Kit.
In a nod to the desirable
Uno “Draw 4” card in the game, all stays are available for $4 per night, and booked on a first-come, first-served basis when they go on sale mid-May.
“Vrbo has
always been about friends and families spending real time together on vacation, and partnering with Uno builds on that idea in a simple, playful way,” said Helen Melluish, vice president of
marketing at Vrbo, in a release.

Mattel and Vrbo created a custom Uno deck in honor of the partnership available in each UNO x Vrbo vacation home. The deck features illustrations
“inspired by popular travel destinations and vacation pastimes travelers can experience with Vrbo,” as well as a custom “Vacation Rental Swap Rule,” which allows players to
swap hands with any other player after playing the cards.
Consumers can book a Unox Vrbo getaway online beginning at 1 p.m. EST on May 15, while supplies last. The “Wild
Card” stay in Los Angeles is for May 29-June 1, and in Austin June 19-22. The “Play It Your Way” stays take place in Winter Park, Colorado from July 10-13; Palm Desert, California,
from July 17-20; Panama City Beach, Florida from July 24-27 and in Atlanta from Aug. 7-10.
Vrbo is promoting the collab via its socials.
