Global brand-experience agency Akcelo
has opened a London office, part of its worldwide “borderless” ethos.
It also underscores the need to service its growing client demand in the U.K. and Europe.
The
London office opens with clients including TikTok, Anytime Fitness, OpenAi, Amazon and PepsiCo.
The founding team includes Ben Phillips, strategy partner, Jade Fonteneau, business lead,
and Mike Gethin and Justin Schoenmaker, creative leads. Akcelo also plans to add to its London team over the next year.
Previously, Phillips led global brands Cadbury,
Domino’s and Barclays at VCCP, with previous roles at Anomaly, Mekanism and R/GA. Gethin rejoins Akcelo from Xpedition, having also worked at Deutsch LA, The&Partnership and
VaynerMedia. Schoenmaker held posts at Xpedition, Pen&Pad and VML, while Fonteneau did creative/marketing work at Adam&EveDDB, VCCP and Specsavers’ in-house agency Partizan.
