Gerber Names New Baby Ambassador

Gerber announced Cameron Chung from Minnesota as the winner of the 2026 Gerber photo search.

“As part of his tenure as the 2026 Gerber Baby, Cameron and his parents, Rachael and Alden, will be featured on Gerber's social media channels and in marketing campaigns throughout the year,” according to USA Today. “Cameron and his family will receive $50,000, plus Gerber branded baby clothes valued at $2,000.”

Cameron was selected from more than 100,000 entries submitted from across the country.

“The winning image, snapped by his mother, Rachael Olsen, after a family walk on a cold winter day, captured his first intentional smile, a milestone his parents had eagerly awaited,” according to "Today". “While Nickelback may be Cameron’s favorite musician, 'Today' co-anchor Craig Melvin may have become his favorite TV personality. During the live segment, Cameron happily settled into Craig’s’ arms and charmed the co-anchor by repeatedly sticking his hands in his mouth, prompting laughs throughout the studio.”

Cameron joins a tradition that dates back to 1928, when artist Dorothy Hope Smith’s charcoal sketch of a cherub-faced infant became the original Gerber Baby, notes "Today".

The proud parents say that their son, who is about to celebrate his first birthday, brings them more joy than they ever could have imagined in an exclusive interview with People.

The parents said that they decided to enter the contest when they learned the theme for the year.

"When we saw the Gerber Photo Search theme was 'Behind the Baby,' celebrating not just babies but the everyday parents raising them, it really resonated with us," they told People. "Our first year of parenthood was full of firsts that were messy, magical and everything in between.”

Gerber put out the call for entries on March 2.

Sixteen years after it first launched, the photo search still builds on the legacy of the original Gerber Baby. The search celebrates the real, everyday moments that bring joy to parenthood, as previous winners know well, according to the company.
