Omnicom Media Retains Uber's Primary AOR

Omnicom has retained and expanded its media AOR duties with Uber, extending a relationship that began in 2023. And WPP Media has retained its APAC remit following a regional pitch there.

Under its renewed agreement, Omnicom Media will continue to oversee media responsibilities across North America, Europe, Middle East & Africa and Latin America. It also adds Brazil to its assignment, following the review.

Uber spent an estimated $880 million on media last year, according to agency research firm COMvergence. Spend by region: NA, $490M, EMEA, $210M, APAC, $140M and LATAM, $40M

The retention follows Uber’s decision in May to add sports marketing responsibilities to Omnicom’s purview.

Omnicom became the rideshare giant’s primary media agency following a review in 2023, unseating WPP in the role.

Both ad groups confirmed their assignments following the latest review. Uber didn’t respond to a request for comment.
