Email phishing and other cyber crimes continue to proliferate, according to a recent report from Red Sift.
You have to wonder:
What can legitimate marketing companies do about this problem?
One possible solution is being offered by Red Sift itself: ONDMARC Integration for
Microsoft Sentinel in the Microsoft Marketplace, an online destination for businesses to buy cloud solutions, AI apps, and agents.
"Email is where
most attacks start, but the evidence usually sits in a different tool than the one your SOC team lives in,” says Rahul Powar, co-founder and CEO at Red Sift.
So how will this help?
"This integration puts our OnDMARC forensic data and audit logs directly into Microsoft Sentinel, so analysts can
correlate email authentication activity with everything else they're already watching, without switching screens, ” Powar states.

DMARC, of course, is Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance, an essential component of the email security toolkkit.
And what does Microsoft Marketplace bring to the party?
"Microsoft Marketplace helps organizations and partners move faster, work
smarter, and grow by connecting them with the right solutions—all in one trusted place," says Cyril Belikoff, vice president, Microsoft Azure Product Marketing.
The earliest signals that phishing or spoofing attempts are occurring? Email authentication failures, Red Sift says. But it takes more than DMARC to combat these
evils.
Of 5,000 domains recently studied by Red Sift nationwide, only 1,919 have reached full enforcement.
And while 89.5% US organizations have published a DMARC record, 57.1% still do not block spoofed emails.
Moreover, phishing was the initial
access vehicle in 16% of data breaches, judging by the Verizon 2026 Data Breach Investigations Report.
And that figure rose to 44% for AI-assisted intrusions.
We close with an advisory on what other tools a company needs. They are Sender Policy
Framwork (SPF) and DomainKeys Identified By Mail (DKIM).
