Domino’s is giving away its newest menu addition -- the Domino,
a smaller, customizable Detroit-style pie in the shape of the brand’s logo -- to customers who dine at its QSR competitors.
The Domino is explained in a new humorous spot,
“When pizza can’t, the new Domino can.” The ad shows people in situations where a full-size pizza isn’t always the best option, such as with picky eaters, working at a small
desk, mountain climbing and road tripping, with the Domino serving as the solution.
“The Domino was created for the way people eat today, where a meal doesn't always mean sharing the
same pizza,” said Kate Trumbull, Domino's executive vice president, CMO, in a release. “It solves a problem traditional pizza never could: everyone gets the toppings they love, without
having to compromise. We saw an opportunity to reinvent pizza from the crust up… We think it has what it takes to become an iconic menu item, and we want customers to try and decide for
themselves.”

The brand is challenging its customers to determine whether the new offering is, in fact, “Domino worthy” by offering a free Domino in exchange for their receipt
from the purchase of a McDonald's Big Mac, Burger King Whopper, Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme, Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich or a Chipotle burrito.
To earn the free Domino, customers must upload
their competing QSR’s receipt here through Sept. 30, after which they will receive an offer code while supplies last.
