California Democrats have passed more than two dozen bills in the state legislature to control AI and regulate the use of social media products by minors, NBC News reports. One bill would prohibit
the social media companies from providing “addictive features” like autoplaying videos to people under 16 years of age. Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom must decide which ones he will sign
before the end of the month.
