The broadcast sector saw a dip in the number of jobs last month, according to new counts from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Inside Radio reports. There were 328,100
people working at broadcast firms and content providers down 3,000 from the prior month and 4.2% less than the year before. But in one positive sign, there was an increase of 1,800 jobs in advertising
and public relations. Advertising employed 478,600 people, but that number is down from the prior year by a total of 2,700 people.
