Marketers can get their emails into the
inbox, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be read or trusted. There's too much competition for attention, much of it the work of hackers and other cyber felons.
One
possible solution: EasyDMARC, an email trust platform, has formed a partnership withGMO GlobalSign, a global certificate firm, with an eye toward “helping organizations build trust at every
stage of the email journey," says Gerasim Hovhannisyan, co-founder and CEO of EasyDMARC.
This is no easy task, given the ever-growing complexity of the ecosystem. Email senders
are using a variety of marketing platforms, CRMs, cloud applications, helpdesk systems and third-party services. All this threatens security, deliverability and brand
reputation.
"Email trust isn't built by a single protocol or certificate," Hovhannisyan says. "It starts with understanding your entire email
infrastructure-from domains and DNS to every service sending on your behalf -- and ensuring every legitimate message reaches the inbox securely.”

Rather than work with
disconnected tools, brands need unified ways of building email trust.
According to the companies, the new arrangement brings these benefits:
- Visibility
into domains and authorized email senders
- Centralized management of DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance).
- Constant tracking of authentication, domain health and deliverability
- Protection against domain spoofing and
unauthorized senders
- An easy path to BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification).
In addition, those interested in adopting BIMI, which
allows brand logos to appear with emails, can also get help obtaining a necessary verified mark certificate or common mark certificate.
Surely there are other such services
available, but here is one. The announcement says the partnership is available to GMO GlobalSign customers across the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.
“Email is a primary pathway for hackers to cause financial destruction and the breakdown of brand identity through business email compromise,” says Mike Boyle, vice president of
business units for GMO GlobalSign. “It sparks legitimate user fear of being phished and tarnishes brand credibility.”
Boyle adds, “One of the most effective
methods of mitigating this risk is the combination of identity-based digital certificates with DMARC.”
