Discovery Communications said content from its fleet of networks is now available for purchase on iTunes--making the company the latest programmer to experiment with the alternate distribution
service. Programming such as "MythBusters" and "Shark Week" from the flagship Discovery Channel, "Passport to Europe" from the Travel Channel, and "Kenny The Shark" from Discovery Kids is among the
offerings available for $1.99 a download. "Now, new possibilities are opened for people who want to use Discovery's high-quality knowledge-rich content on the go, while we also promote Discovery's
television networks," said Don Baer, senior executive vice president, strategy and development, Discovery Communications.
