New Media Glossaries 2.0

The new media catch phrase MediaPost’s subscribers would most like to be rid of is: “Web 2.0.” That’s the conclusion of an informal survey MediaPost and Dynamic Logic conducted leading up to OMMA Hollywood. Dynamic Logic chief Nick Nyhan presented the finding, along with other seemingly overused, and pedantic terms during his opening remarks, but two words may have been left out, according to Shelly Palmer: “disintermediation” and “convergence.” Palmer banned those words during his set-up for moderating an OMMA panel: “Big Media – Disintermediated.” In other words, Palmer wanted to disintermediate disintermediation.
