Direct Response: WorldLink Is Gospel Music Channel's Sales Rep

WorldLink has inked a deal with the Gospel Music Channel to serve as its sales rep in the direct-response area.

GMC will continue to sell other ad time and sponsorships. The growing network--founded by former executives at Discovery and Turner--has said it will pass 20 million homes by year's end, and is already available in 22 of the top 25 DMAs.

Barbara Bekkedahl, GMC's vice president of advertising sales and sales operations, said WorldLink has a "tremendously successful track record in building short-form direct-response revenue for their clients ... [and] we look forward to working with WorldLink to build this revenue stream."

The 10-year-old WorldLink is based in L.A. but has offices in New York and London. It works on behalf of some 200 media outlets worldwide, the company said.

"Gospel Music Channel's uplifting and contemporary programming crosses over many key demographics, a very attractive selling point for short-form DR advertisers," said WorldLink head Toni Knight. "We're delighted to be in business with this rapidly growing network, which even further strengthens WorldLink's breadth of reach."
