Those tacky commercials from the local auto shop may be standard fare cable, but they aren’t gonna play on the Internet.

The bar for interactive ad quality keeps getting raised, says Rodger Wells, vice president of marketing and business development for AditAll, a service that lets mom-and-pop advertisers produce Internet video ads with a few clicks and a credit card.

“With the evolution of online advertising, the drive to online commercials is only natural,” Wells says. AditAll, launched Sept. 10, helps small businesses meet consumer expectations for snazzy creative with access to thousands of stock video and music clips from providers such as RevoStock and The Orchard. Advertisers can customize clips with their logos, narration, graphics and text in a three-step process.

Then, the system automatically calculates the payment and creates rights documentation. Most ads will cost from $300 to $700, including content licenses.

The completed video can be downloaded or routed through AditAll for placement via Google AdSense.

The other side of the equation is indie producers. They can upload their own footage, but they can also respond to advertiser requests. A pet store needs a clip of a dog eating a hamburger, but there’s none to be found? A enterprising producer could shoot and edit the spot in a few hours, and make about $150.

Wells hopes to create a bustling marketplace for digital video creatives. He says, “The ability to monetize your work is the best way to get people’s attention.”
