Bravo has sewed up a licensing deal involving its "Project Runway" brand. The NBC Universal network has an agreement with Brother International allowing it to market series-branded sewing machines.
The "limited edition" models will showcase the hit show's logo. Its fourth season debuts this week.
For Brother--a 100-year-old brand in the sewing field--it's all about giving
its machines some cutting-edge ID.
"Brother has aligned itself with this fashion-oriented, hip brand to appeal to a new generation of designers who are inspired to create and design like those on
'Project Runway'," said Dean Shulman, senior vice president at the company.
