While some of its North American counterparts were celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday, Aegis Group Thursday announced an acquisition that will expand the footprint of its digital advertising and
media services north of the border. Aegis said it acquired Mindblossom, a full-service digital agency founded in Toronto in 2001.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Mindblossom, which has
45 employees, has a gross asset value of $2.3 million, according to Aegis, the parent of Carat and Isobar, and other media services networks.
Mindblossom, which provides creative services, media
planning, search marketing and web site development, will become integrated into Aegis Media Canada, as well as Isobar, now the world's largest interactive marketing services network.
Aegis did
not disclose how the acquisition impacts its Canadian market ranking, but the company said it would be a "major player."
