Epson America has named iCrossing as its interactive agency of record.
This marks the first time that Epson has tapped one agency to handle multiple facets of its all of its digital marketing
efforts, including strategic planning, search and Web site design.
As the interactive agency of record, Scottsdale, Ariz.-based iCrossing's expanded responsibilities will include optimizing
Epson.com for search visibility and improving the user interface. iCrossing will manage some of Epson's display efforts, but share banner ad creation and placement duties with other digital shops.
Epson had previous ties to Proxicom, the Web development firm that iCrossing acquired in August, and iCrossing inherited responsibility for the outstanding site design and usability
projects--including redesign of the Professional Imaging subsection of Epson.com. PI is a product division geared to delivering high-quality printing tools for photo labs and commercial print shops.
Epson Director of Marketing Tod Yamamoto reports that iCrossing impressed the print and electronics giant with its consumer insights and collaborative approach during the PI redesign and other
projects underway during the agency selection process.
