'USA Today' Partners With CSTV, Builds Interactive Site

The college sports TV network and Web site, CSTV Networks, has struck a deal with USA Today giving the newspaper's site access to CSTV's massive on-demand live college sports library.

USAToday.com will have access to the college sports site video player, called CSTV XXL, which airs thousands of live and on-demand games from more than 100 top schools and conferences in 30 different men's and women's collegiate sports.

Jeff Webber, publisher of USAToday.com and senior vice president of advertising for the newspaper, called the new inventory a "great addition to our interactive service."

In addition, USA Today will get CSTV's GameTracker, which is a real-time play-by-play statistical tracker of college sporting events. USAToday.com will use GameTracker on its front sports page.

CSTV will also syndicate short-form video clips to USAToday.com, which include highlights, press conferences and other original video. That will begin this spring.
