The Hartford Hires Weaver To Lead Marketing

The Hartford Financial Services Group a diversified financial services company, has hired Connie Weaver as senior vice president/marketing and communications.

Weaver, 55, brings extensive marketing and communications expertise from some of America's leading companies to oversee The Hartford's brand management and advertising, executive and employee communications, media and community relations functions. She will report to chairman/CEO Ramani Ayer and will serve as a member of the company's Office of the Chairman.

Weaver's extensive experience in marketing, communications and investor relations brought her most recently to BearingPoint, a leading management and technology consulting company, where she served as executive vice president/chief marketing officer.

Prior to her role with BearingPoint, Weaver held a similar post at AT&T, capping a 10-year career with the nation's largest telecommunications company. Before joining AT&T, Weaver held senior positions covering investor relations, communications, marketing and strategy with Microsoft Corporation, MCI Communications and McGraw-Hill, Inc.
