Aegis Group's Isobar unit, already the largest digital marketing services network in the world, got even bigger today with the announcement that it has acquired Brazil's Age, an agencies specializing
in trade marketing, sports marketing, offline creative services, and both online and offline media buying.
Given the broad-based nature of its services portfolio, it wasn't initially clear why
Aegis was incorporating Age into Isobar vs. one of its general market offerings, but the move follows the 2007 acquisition of AgenciaClick, Brazil's largest independent digital agency, in 2007, which
contributed to a quadrupling of Aegis Media revenue from Latin America in the year.
The Brazilian market, which accounts for nearly 40% of the total Latin American market for advertising, has
grown at an average of 18% annually from 2002 to 2007.
Aegis said Age and AgenciaClick will work closely together, sharing a number of resources, and creating a fully integrated offering in
Brazil.
Founded in 2000, Age's client roster include adidas, Del Valle, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ultragaz, Taeq and Lopes.
