Virgin Mobile USA has partnered with local search service buzzd to provide its customers with local entertainment listings and the ability to post reviews of venues while they're out on the
town.
The free buzzd service offered on the Virgin Mobile deck features continuously updated event and venue listings in major U.S. cities from sources such as TimeOut, Flavorpill and
Citysearch.
Given Virgin Mobile's youth-focused brand, the partnership seems like a logical step for the companies to take. "Our community has a healthy appetite for entertainment, fun and
what's happening around them," said Ron Faris, director of brand development and partnerships for Virgin Mobile, in a statement.
Buzzd has previously paired with wireless carriers including
AT&T, Alltel, Sprint and Verizon Wireless.--Mark Walsh
