Does Jason Kilar Acutally Know Who He's Talking To?

Kilar was a bit impulsive in his keynote metaphors, describing media as an “impulse industry,” not a necessity.

“Nobody needs media to survive. It’s not like food clothing or shelter,” he said to an audience full of advertising and media buying executives who make their living â€" and buy an awful lot of food, clothing and shelter â€" by peddling or buying media.

“It’s not like anyone is going to die if they don’t see ‘Speed Racer,’” he declared. Yeah, well, apparently Kilar doesn’t know much about Racer X.
