ChunkIt Aims To Help Shoppers With ChunkStore App

ChunkStore, a browser add-on from the ChunkIt search engine, aims to give shoppers a better way to retrieve key product search information with one click, according to TigerLogic, San Jose, Calif. In time for the holiday season, the tool has been designed to work with online retailers Amazon.com, eBay, Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy and Circuit City.

The tool aims to simplify search results to retrieve valuable information hidden behind the hyperlinks on any Web site or search engine, including Google, Yahoo, AOL, Ask and MSN Live Search. While many retail Web sites try to match search terms to the product name or description, ChunkIt searches specific keywords and displays the chunk-like results in the cloud of the browser.

The keywords are highlighted so users can more quickly find the information, making it easy for shoppers to glance at all the pertinent product information, compare features and prices, and make a decision whether they want to open that product page.--Laurie Sullivan
