The head of the Cox station group, which operates the Fox outlet in San Francisco and ABC station in Atlanta, is stepping down at the end of the year. Andrew Fisher, president of the station group for
the last eight years, ends a 24-year tenure at the company.
He will be replaced at Cox Television by Executive Vice President Bruce Baker. Baker will also oversee the three national
rep firms that Cox operates.
Baker had served as general manager of Cox's duopoly in Charlotte, N.C., where it has the ABC affiliate and an independent station.
Fisher began his Cox career
as general manager of WSB in Cox's home base of Atlanta. Baker had previously served as station manager and director of sales there.
