The show details the rise and maybe the fall of show business notables. One of its most popular subjects is the late Anna Nicole Smith, a favorite tabloid subject. The range of celebrities that "True Hollywood" covers runs the gamut from JFK Jr. to Lindsay Lohan.
Episodes are updated as the years go by and stars' careers advance or scandals take place. There will be 500 episodes by next year, and Debmar-Mercury will select episodes from the vault to sell to stations.
The "addictive format always leaves viewers wanting more and plays well across multiple dayparts," said Mort Marcus, a Debmar co-president.
Debmar-Mercury also distributes "Tyler Perry's House of Payne," "Family Feud," South Park" and "The Deadliest Catch."
