McHale Empowers Self, Resigns As President Of Cincinnati Independent

Brian McHale is out as president of Cincinnati-based independent Empower MediaMarketing. McHale, who has been president of Empower for nine years, is leaving to run his own "small agency," Empower Chairman-CEO Bill Price said in a statement.

"We know that this has been a dream of his for many years, and so while we'll miss him, we're also happy for him and wish him all the best," Price said.

No details were given regarding plans to fill the president's post, but Price said Empower has been on a roll--that it recently won several new but undisclosed clients, and the day-to-day management of the agency's accounts would be handled by other Empower officers.

"We have tremendous momentum," he said. "We are organized to manage change in our business while maintaining the highest level of service to our clients, our main priority here at Empower."

The media shop's clients include Ashley Furniture, Biltmore, Bush Brothers & Co., Check 'n Go, Cincinnati Bell, Clopay Building Products, Godiva Chocolatier, Humana, Long John Silver's, Michaels Arts & Crafts Stores, 1-800-CONTACTS, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Stanley Steemer and U.S. Bank.
