  • GARRICK SCHMITT was promotedfrom vice president of user experience to lead the National User Experience team at Avenue A | Razorfish. In addition, DAVID TOWERS has joined the company as vice president, managing director, Los Angeles andGREG POMARO was named vice president and director of media in the Seattle office.


  • MARY P. KWAN has been named president of Goody’s, a family apparel retailer. Kwan will oversee merchandising, licensing and planning, allocation, product development and design, quality assurance, sourcing, marketing and e-commerce. Prior to joining Goody’s, Kwan served as senior vice president for Quiksilver Incorporated where Kwan led the merchandising and design efforts for the Roxy brand.


  • MICHAEL E. PARDI has been named senior vice president and BRIAN ARNOLD, KRISTIN L. BLUMREICH, BEATRICE A. MANZELLA, LYNETTE K. MCCOMBS and JEREMY A. MIRAL have been named vice presidents at Campbell-Ewald.


  • VNU Business Media has named SCOTT PIERCE vice president, Travel Group. Pierce will be responsible for the planning, marketing, sales and P&L of VNU Business Media’s travel portfolio.


  • VINCENT M. MANZI has been hired as vice president / general sales manager at WTXF-FOX 29. He will be responsible for overseeing all business and administrative functions of the WTXF sales department.


  • JOHN MOORE has been named to the newly created position of director of ideas and innovation at Mullen. Moore, who has been with Mullen for nine years, was most recently senior vice president, group media director in the agency's mediaHUB unit.


  • HYPR has relaunched as DiGennaro Communications and hired BELLE LENZ as account director and THERESA PITI as office manager.


  • JOSH DAMMERS was named national advertising director of Meredith Interest Media. Dammers replaces BRIAN KIGHTLINGER, who was promoted to publisher of Midwest Living magazine. Dammers most recently served as national advertising director for Condé Nast Bridal Media.


  • Burgess Advertising & Associates hired LYNNE (KIP) KIPPAX as vice president creative strategy and PEKKA PAAVONPERA as director of public relations.


  • Centro has promoted MAUREEN MALUNGCOT to manager, marketing communications.

Before joining BusinessWeek, he served as freelance art director at numerous titles including New York, Newsweek,Men’s Journal, and Rolling Stone.


  • MICHAEL GRINDELL joined WestWayne as senior vice president/director of human resources. Prior to launching a management consultancy, Grindell served as group director, talent acquisition at Coca-Cola.
