AI Writes GoDaddy Services For Entrepreneurs

The GoDaddy Power Your Future advertising and marketing campaign rolled out Monday to show how its new generative artificial intelligence (GAI) tool can help entrepreneurs and small business owners automate creative options to build and launch websites.

GoDaddy Airo uses GAI to help business owners develop business ideas, create a logo, build a website, and other tasks within minutes.

The campaign will run across television, social media, display, search, affiliate marketing, and billboards in Times Square and Silicon Valley.

“This is the first time in a while we’ve been focused on telling a unique story across so many types of media,” said GoDaddy Senior Director Brand Marketing Amy Jennette.

Nine social media influencers will do demos on how to start a business using the product.

The social media push launches on Leap Day to tell business owners they have 24 extra hours this year to launch their business, which is more than they need when using the tools.

GoDaddy has its own creative studio, and created the campaign in-house.

Jennette has worked at Publicis, Leo Burnett, Young & Rubicam Group, and many other agencies. Others on the team also came from creative agencies. An in-house team also bought the media.

Tempe, Arizona-based GoDaddy launched the GAI tools as Google shuts down its websites in March and redirects the click to Google Business Profile (GBP). The redirects end on June 10, 2024. After that date, when visitors click on the website URL, they will see a 404-error message.

GoDaddy’s GAI tools are included with the purchase and existing website domain. For example, if users type in “I would like to open a juice bar in Las Vegas” the tool returns several domain names.

Once a domain has been claimed, the tool automatically launches "A Coming Soon” sign that takes the user into an experience to build a logo, email, and more.

The user remains in control to customize the content, including colors, so they do not need to start from scratch.
