• Publicis CEO Promises Better 2015
    Publicis Groupe CEO Maurice Levy told a Morgan Stanley investor conference Thursday that the company would turn in better financial results in 2015 compared to this year, Bloomberg reports. Levy said organic growth for 2014 would be around 1.5%, well below the company's forecast of 4% earlier in the year. Levy also said the company wouldn't be doing any large M&A deals soon as it focuses on improving sales and completing the Sapient acquisition and integrating the firm into the Publicis Groupe operations.
  • Airbnb Putting Out Branded Publication
    Taking what one might call a quaint (antiquated?) approach to marketing, Airbnb has started publishing Pineapple -- a branded lifestyle magazine for its broad network of hosts and guests. “It joins a long tradition of travel magazines subsidized by major industry powers,” The Awl writes. “Airline magazines were lifestyle publications with a loose connection to cities and countries served by the airline that published them.”
