• Publicis Groupe Settles Bias Suit For $3 Million
    Publicis Groupe has settled a class action gender discrimination law suit brought against it 2011 for $3 million. The settlement was filed with the U.S. District Court in Manhattan on Tuesday. The company said it was settling to avoid the cost and distraction of more years of litigation. The plaintiffs had originally sought $100 million.
  • WPP Most Active Buyer of Media & Marketing Firms In Q3
    WPP as the most active acquirer of digital, marketing and media companies in the third quarter, according to an analysis by corporate finance advisory firm Ciesco. The research, reported by the Wall Street Journal website wsj.com, found 248 deals announced in this sector in the third quarter, a 32% increase from the year-ago quarter. The total disclosed value of these deals was $17.4 billion.
