In another example
of its aggressive cross-channel marketing bent, Starbucks will -- as of Monday -- be distributing books of coupons for its branded, grocery-distributed products at its restaurant locations.
Up to now, the restaurants have distributed only single coupons to support launches of specific retail products. This first coupon book, available at all Starbucks locations while supplies
last, includes offers for $2 off a four-pack of Starbucks Doubleshot espresso drinks; $1 off packaged coffee in 10- or 12-ounce sizes; $1 off ice cream; and $2 off a four-pack of bottled frappuccino
beverages.
The coupons were suggested by numerous Starbucks customers on its starbucksidea.com site, according to a spokesperson, who described the book as "a great way for us to reach existing
customers and extend their Starbucks experience to grocery."
