Fashionistas rarely agree on anything and aren't usually big on dressing in uniforms. But this summer, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Net-a-porter.com and Susan G. Komen for the Cure are
launching Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, "a nationwide, grassroots campaign to inspire unity among women and their co-workers in the fight against breast cancer."
The group asks
women to wear the Ralph Lauren-designed shirts, priced at $55 and available at www.net-a-porter.com/ftbc, on casual Fridays throughout the summer, and promises that 100% of the proceeds go to Komen
and other breast-cancer organizations.
Yes, it means we'd all be wearing the same thing, but the shirts come in five colors. Adds the CFDA: "It is a powerful opportunity for women across America
to join together in a unified message of care, concern and hope."--Sarah Mahoney
