Digitas Restructures Global Management, Raids Tribal DDB's Ross

Publicis' Digitas unit Wednesday announced a new "team structure" for its global management group, and raided Liz Ross, a top executive at Omnicom's Tribal DDB unit, to serve as chief growth officer. Ross succeeds Seth Solomons, who retains the role of Digitas' chief marketing officer.

As part of the reorganization, Digitas CEO Laura Lang said Solomons would assume oversight of new business, strategy and analytics, media, technology, and corporate communications. Global Chief Creative Mark Beeching, who already oversees creative, planning, as well as Digitas' "The Third Act" operations, will effectively oversee the balance of Digitas' global operations.

The agency said the new structure was designed to provide better client service and "value," but did not explain how.

Before taking on Digitas' top new business role, effective Aug. 7, Ross was president of U.S. operations and global chief marketing officer at Tribal DDB. She will be based in Digitas' Chicago offices. She reports to Solomons, who reports directly to Lang.
