Shout Out: Oxygen Goes 'Bad' In Real Time

Oxygen

To complement its popular TV show "Bad Girls Club," which kicks off season four in a week, Oxygen will launch a real-time online destination.

The site will act as a companion to all original series, stated Jason Klarman, general manager, Oxygen Media. The popularity of "Bad Girls," the most-watched Oxygen original series, lends itself to multi-screen initiatives. Fans can also chat via Facebook and Twitter -- #badgirlsclub -- while the show airs.

When the new season opens Dec. 1 at 10 p.m., viewers can participate in a live chat hosted by Oxygen editors, along with special guests from www.evilbeetgossip.com, other "Bad Girls Club" fans -- and during the season, the new cast members.

"OxygenLive re-imagines TV as a social, interactive, experience that allows viewers to connect with the shows and the characters they love ... and each other," added Klarman.

In addition to the live chats and Tweets, fans will also participate in real-time polls about the cast's outrageous behavior. Past seasons have turned violent, and several members have been asked to leave.

"We consider ourselves the original 'Bad Girls Club'," stated Sasha Pasulka, managing editor, Evil Beet Gossip. "We're all about the good, the bad, the ugly ... and especially the catty. The "Bad Girls" are the queens of catty, and to be honest, we look to them for inspiration."

Season four brings seven new "bad girls" together in a beautiful Los Angeles mansion. All have issues with anger, trust and control -- as well as explosive egos.

"Bad Girls" is a Bunim-Murray Production. Oxygen Media is part of NBC Universal, and is available in 75 million homes.
