First Conan, Now Brill: Research/Programming Diva Canceled By Carat

Shari Anne Brill

Shari Anne Brill, one of the best-known researchers and most influential programming analysts on Madison Avenue, is out as senior vice president-director of programming, at Carat.

Details about Brill's departure could not be discerned at press time, but the agency confirmed that she is no longer with Carat, although it declined further comment.

Brill, who has long been one of the most active members of the agency media research community, has been involved in a number of high-profile initiatives, including the Nielsen-funded Council for Research Excellence. She is frequently quoted in the trade and consumer press about TV programming and scheduling trends.

Her departure is part of a continuing exodus of media researchers and consumer insights gurus from big agencies. Brill follows other recent notables, including former Interpublic/Magna research chief Steve Sternberg and former ZenithOptimedia research chief Bruce Goerlich, off the Avenue.
