Electrolux Looks For Mom 'Idol'

Appliance brand Electrolux is sucking up to "American Idol" with a program that searches for a "Mom Idol." The agreement dangles a trip for two to the "American Idol" finale in Hollywood; a $5,000 donation to the charity of her choice; a VIP makeover; and a suite of Electrolux premium appliances as part of a promotion.

From now until April 30, people can nominate moms or themselves at www.electroluxappliances.com. Consumers will vote on one of five finalists from May 4 through May 13. Everyone who visits the site can also enter for a chance to win a trip to the finale, and anyone who votes for America's first "Mom Idol" will be entered for a chance to win a premium appliance from Electrolux.--Karl Greenberg
