The past few weeks have been ridiculously busy and equally as fun, with summer parties kicking my butt. Whoever predicted a slow party season this summer may be eating their words with their
family-style fruit salad. This week is toned down, though, and I predict next week will be practically dead due to all you summer-share jerks heading to the Hamptons or anywhere with a coast for
Independence Day. I'll be heading to Memphis for what I hope will be the sweatiest southern July 4
th ever. Until then, we've got this stuff going on...

Tonight a certain M Booth & Associates person will be very
jealous if I get to meet Joan Rivers at the Broadway Walk of Stars Gala. Think of the Walk of Fame in Hollywood. The invitation says the event will "feature" stars like Liza
Minnelli, Carol Channing, and Joan Rivers, but I'm hip to the interpretation of that lingo. I'm crossing my fingers. Oh, and the invitation said dress is "festive attire" which of
course sends me into an "I have nothing festive to wear" tizzy. A quick trip to the scary section of Forever 21 might be in order
Wednesday June 23rd is Wrath of Cannes, the un-Cannes if you
will. So while everyone else is "working" in the French land, the rest of the ad world will be in my neighborhood - at Kabin, quite possibly the weirdest place to hold an event. This
year's winner gets an iPad so they can watch their commercial success from the comfort of their own knees.
It looks like with a lot of New York's advertising crowd over at Cannes and the
usual end of June slowdown this week is proving a great opportunity to breathe, maybe make a pie, visit your old pal the gym, and look back on recent good times like Internet Week, Ladies Who Launch, and that time we took a train to Westchester!

I'd like to take this
opportunity to let you know that OMMA is hitting the West Coast in July! If you call the West Coast your home, you'll definitely want to check out OMMA Adnets, OMMA Behavioral, and OMMA Metrics and Measurement. Meaty stuff!
