Ford advertising agency Team Detroit on Thursday named Monik Sanghvi as its new EVP, and chief digital and integration officer.

In this role, Sanghvi will be leading the Digital Marketing unit at Team Detroit, which brings together five WPP marketing and communications agencies, including JWT, Y&R, Wunderman, Ogilvy and Mindshare.

Sanghvi will be expected to work closely with Mike Bentley, EVP, chief strategy officer; Toby Barlow, EVP, chief creative officer; Andy Prakken, EVP, managing director communications; and Brad Audet, EVP, managing director of Pulse.

Sanghvi, who most recently served as SVP of strategy and analytics at Digitas, brings expertise in the areas of digital and emerging media, marketing and communications, business development, and strategic planning.

To date, "Team Detroit has done outstanding work in social and digital communications," said Sanghvi.

In one recent example, Team Detroit partnered with YouTube on Ford's sponsorship of the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. The ongoing campaign includes mobile, search marketing, YouTube display inventory, and contextually targeted ads on the Google Content network. The campaign, meanwhile, is designed to drive traffic to the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival's home page on YouTube, where concert promoter Superfly has agreed to allow the music to stream live.

Along with the Ford Motor Company, Team Detroit clients include Scotts Miracle-Gro, Shell Oil Company, Bosch, Bell Helicopter, Compuware, and Johnson Controls, among others.

Prior to joining Team Detroit, Sanghvi held positions with AOL, Omnicom digital agency Organic, and McKinsey & Company.
