WPP Sunday announced that it is merging its MediaCom and Media Insight networks in the Middle East and Northern Africa under the MediaCom brand. The move will consolidate the organizations into a
larger media network with combined operations in Beirut, Riyadh, Casablanca and headquartered in Dubai.
WPP also said it plans to consolidate the rest of its portfolio of media agencies across
the region, beginning with MediaCom.
The new MediaCom will have a combined client roster including Nestle, National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Volkswagen Audi Group, P&G, Shell, Aujan and Turkish
Airlines.
Eric Hanna, COO of WPP's Grey Group in the region, will lead the MediaCom network from Dubai, reporting to Nick Lawson, MediaCom's London-based EMEA CEO.
